Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives have launched an inquiry into a ram raid incident that occurred in Taylors Lakes early this morning.
At approximately 1:30 am, perpetrators utilized a white Mitsubishi Triton to forcefully breach the front entrance of a business situated at the intersection of Melton Highway and Sunshine Avenue.
Subsequently, the offenders deserted the Mitsubishi and absconded the premises in a separate vehicle, reportedly identified as a white Audi Wagon. Eyewitnesses observed the Audi accelerating eastward towards the Calder Highway at a considerable speed.
Records indicate that the stolen Mitsubishi was previously reported missing from a location in Koroit towards the end of last year.
